Amanda & I traveled to New Zealand from March 1st to March 10th; It was a great trip.
Last Fall, I found the flight deal on SecretFlying. Public Service Announcement: If you are thinking about traveling anywhere, I suggest following SecretFlying on all social media outlets. They provide up-to-date information on travel deals.
Our friends, Kaleb & Sarah, also took advantage of the deal and we met them in Auckland. The plan was to rent camper-vans and drive around the Northern Island.
If you're planning a trip there in the future, we would love to share some things we wish we would have known before we went!
New Zealand is a beautiful place with wild landscapes and nice folks. Enjoy the photos below! Also, I will be selling a few prints from this photo collection; if you would like one please let me know!
After we landed in Auckland, we met Kaleb and Sarah at our Camper-Van rental facility and immediately headed for Coromandel. The roads were so tiny and there weren't any guard rails. Inches separated us from driving off into the ocean. :)
The views along this drive were our first taste of New Zealand, and it was sweet.
We camped in Coromandel that night. The next morning we had coffee in our campers! Kaleb and Sarah brought everything needed to make an amazing cup 'o joe before our day.
The next day we drove through the jungle, to the beach (Cathedral Cove), and down to Hobbiton. Whenever possible, we pulled off our route to see cool sights along the way. On this day, we stopped and saw a waterfall.
